Martin Sher, Co-FounderList Item 1
Martin Sher is Co-Founder of AmSher. Martin is a past President of ACA International, and has served on their Board of Directors for over 20 years. During his service with ACA, Martin authored their “Collector Pledge”, adopted and signed by thousands of collection professionals around the nation. He and his brother, David, have co-authored two books on collections; Championship Collections, and How to Collect Debts and Still Keep Your Customers.

David Sher, Co-FounderList Item 2
David Sher founded AmSher with his brother, Martin, in 1986, and has worked in the credit and collection industry for more than 40 years. David has previously served as President for the International Association of Commercial Collectors (IACC), and as Chairman of the Board for the Birmingham Regional Chamber of Commerce, Operation New Birmingham, and City Action Partnership. He has a BS Degree from the University of Alabama and an MS Degree from Syracuse University.

John Sams, CEOList Item 3
John Sams joined AmSher Collection Services in July of 2008 and currently serves as our CEO. In this role, he oversees all aspects of managing a Third Party Collection service company, sets direction for all departments, and is responsible for corporate strategic planning. Before joining AmSher, John held numerous executive positions with West Asset Management, Risk Management Alternatives, AT&T Universal Card, GC Services, and Citi Corp Credit Services. John graduated from Kennesaw State with a degree in Business Management.

Seth DeForest, PresidentList Item 4
Seth has been leading AmSher since August 2007, providing strategic vison for the organization by working with the Board and other management to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans and policies. He supplies active direction for all operational and administrative execution. Seth brings over 15 years of leadership experience in the ARM industry; spending 6 years with Nationwide Credit as Director of Financial Services. He graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a BA in English.

Dena DeForest, CAO
Dena joined AmSher in 2015 and serves as our Chief Administrative Officer. She has nearly 25 years of ARM experience in Operations, Legal Administration, Compliance, Quality Assurance, Client Service, Human Resources and Business Development. Dena previously served as the EVP of Administration for SWC Group in Carrollton, Texas, and spent 14 years managing consumer and legal collections at Fidelity Creditor Service in Glendale, California. She holds a Credit and Collections Compliance Officer (CCCO) designation through ACA International and is certified through HRCI as a Senior Professional in Human Resources management (SPHR).

Brandon Simmons, CIO
Brandon Simmons joined AmSher as Chief Information Officer in 2015. In this role, he oversees all aspects of Information Technology and Security. Before joining AmSher, Brandon served in several executive level positions, as well as worked five years as an engineer for NASA on the International Space Station project. Brandon is certified in Project Management, holds two undergraduate degrees in Technology, a Master’s in Business Strategy, and is currently completing his Doctorate in Business.

Chuck Stigers, VP Business Development
Chuck became AmSher’s VP of Business in Development in 2013, after working with them as a client through his time with T-Mobile. Chuck served in multiple roles, including Senior Manager of Finance with T-Mobile during his 10 years of employment. This equipped him with keen insight to the accounts receivable challenges often faced by our clients. Chuck served on the Board of Directors for the Telecommunications Risk Management Association (TRMA) from 2009-2012. He holds a BS degree in Mathematics from Washington State University, and an MBA in Finance from Florida State.
